About the event

-Expedition dinner is a formal, era-themed dinner on Thursday, the 20th offered to guests for $50 with a free soak afterwards. Recommended RSVP to mickalabear@gmail.com or contact Lolo Hot Springs- seating is limited up to 50 guests for dinner. 

o Guests will be offered a roasted Cornish game hen seasoned with rosemary, baked trout served with a gooseberry relish, wild grain rice pilaf, chef's choice vegetable, finished with a blackberry crisp dessert with vanilla ice cream 

o Drinks will be a fortified strawberry cordial spritzer and a variety of meads from Hidden Legend Winery. 

o Two historical speakers- Hal Stearns and Francis Weigand will each do a 30-minute Lewis and Clark presentation during the dinner 

• Dinner kicks off the free family friendly events the next two days. 

• The Expedition Days Raffle starts NOW until the last day of the Expedition Days on the 22nd. MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. 

• Chance to win 5 prizes- $300 Gift Certificate to The Lodge, Lodge souvenir apparel basket, 10 soak Swim pass, Lewis and Clark reprint of original painting by Sven Lindauer, and two-night stay in a deluxe cabin. 

• Drawing takes place on the 22nd at 5:00 pm o $5/raffle tickets available @ the Hot Springs Pools, Bar and RV park office. 

• Native American/explorer scavenger hunt offered to kids for free o Pool attendant hands kids map with their explorer hat and sends them on their way to first station. 

• 6 stations/games-kids will learn about the use of hand games for communication purposes and how the young were trained for hunting (Will be adding more on Lodge property) 

• Each station will be labeled by a Lewis and Clark trail logo 

• Bingo dabbers at each station to complete their map 

• Kids can take a completed map to the restaurant for a free lolo hot springs backpack filled with souvenirs. 

• Parents encouraged to take families to walk property to find free soak/drink poker chips as well as locally made goodies marked by Lewis and Clark trail logos. 

• Nightly Bonfire with era-themed live music by our musician Keith 

• Hal Stearns will be present on Friday to do a William Clark reenactment. 

• Francis Weigand will be present on Saturday to walk the property with guests telling short stories and teaching kids how a musket was used along with other Lewis and Clark history. 

• Forest Service will come up to walk the property with kids to teach identifying animals and wildflowers. 

• Education Assistant from Fort Missoula will come to teach kids the process behind animal hide tanning and bow shooting while dressed in authentic Lewis and Clark gear telling of their history.

• The Nez Perce will bring a Teepee set up at the Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs for storytelling from there point of view.
